
The Forest Reserve
–Ahrash Reserve is located in the northeastern corner of Egypt , in the center of Rafah , North Sinai Governorate , at the gate of its borders with the State of Palestine, and its area reaches about 6 km² from sand dunes areas with a height of about 60 meters above the sea level. And it is covered by a high density of acacia trees, some trees of ideals, camphor, shrubs, herbs and other pastoral and forage plants that all work to stabilize sand dunes and groats within the protection range to preserve one of the important forms of environments of the Mediterranean coast , most of which have been subject to development and development processes that changed their shape and natural components.
This high density of vegetation cover works on developing water in the soil, so it maintains the level of groundwater and its sweetness, as it works to increase the attraction of tourism activity to the region because of its natural wealth.
